The Show Goes On

This popped up on my Facebook newsfeed and I’m going to rant about it on here like I did there because I feel like this is the sort of thing that comes from Tumblr. So…yeah. 

“Seriously…? They made this about race? Not everything has to do with the damn pigment your body creates. He is being called an intelligent, college student because that is what he was. They’re trying to understand why someone so intelligent (a PhD in NEUROSCIENCE) would do such a thing. Stop making everything about damn skin color. 

Also, he’s still a “suspect” because until he is proven guilty he is technically innocent. You know its how our legal system works, the media can’t address him as “the killer” they have to call him “the alleged killer” or whatever. It has nothing to do with the fact that he’s white. 

And why the hell would he be dead if he was black, latino or Muslim? He’d be held in custody until his trial and sentencing just like everybody else. This man SHOULD be dead and it has nothing to do with his skin color and has everything to do with what he did. 

Also, to whoever made this, Muslim isn’t a race…it’s a religion. Middle Eastern is the ethnicity you’re looking for. The largest Muslim country isn’t even in the Middle East, it’s Indonesia…yeah the Asian country. If you’re going to make an idiotic, ignorant internet meme or whatever, at least know the difference. 

I’m just ridiculously sick of the “white man” being blamed for everything. He’s not going to get off because he’s white, he’s not going to get off at all. No one is saying, “This is horrible but we should go easier on him because he doesn’t produce melanin.” Like, what the hell?! Who even thinks about race on an issue like this? It just blows my mind! Do people really have their heads so far up their asses that THAT is what they think about? How about the 6 year old girl who died? Or the other 11 people? I don’t care if they were fucking RAINBOW, it’s all equally tragic and disgusting! 

If people want people to stop focusing on their race, maybe just MAYBE they should stop pulling the card every two god damn seconds. ESPECIALLY when something like THIS has NOTHING to do with race! OF ANY KIND!”
